So , you wanted turtles?

Lots of people ask questions about keeping turtles.

Here are some pointers why not to start ! You can think of your own reasons if you do want to start...

Here are some reasons NOT to start ...

*They need BIG tanks with a dry landpart

*They grow fast and eat a lot

*They polute a lot , so you'll need a big aqauriumpump that can handle a lot of ....

*There is a (small) risc for your health , because there is allways salmonellabacteria present

*Turtles need a big space of land

*Some of them need to hybernate

*Need a specific diët with lots of vitamines and calcium

 

Besides these reasons , you'll need to know that turtles in captivety have a shorter livespan than in the wild!

Please think twice , before you start....
